Project Description

Team ‘Uno Future’ have created ‘Uno’.

Uno is a simple way for businesses and people to come to together making what they are already doing much easier!

Uno uses Near Field Communication (NFC) which is already in more than 60% of mobile phones in Australia to collect data from events and transactions it organised. Uno’s data is displayed in a dashboard that provides insights for Government, Local Councils and Business Owners so they can make better, more informed decisions.

Data Story

Uno currently uses four Local Council datasets on ‘Outdoor Dining’, ‘UPark Available Spaces’, ‘Bike Racks’ and ‘Events’ and also national ABN Extract data. These datasets have been chosen as the best fit for our Hack. Team Uno Future envisage using new and wider datasets to be able to list more businesses and relate more services to make a wider reaching and more valuable system.

Description of Use: We have used ABN data to verify business listings/registrations made by Councils and/or business owners. Postcodes associated with an ABN can also be used to find the closest available vacant parking spaces we have access to in other data.
