GovHack is an annual Open Data competition held across Australia. In 2018 it will be held on the weekend of 7 - 9 September.
In 46 hours teams create a project page, proof of concept and a video that tells the story of how government data can be reused.
Doors generally open at 6pm local time Friday 7th September (confirm with event times below). Challenges are announced at 7pm at your venue and on this website. The competition closes at 5pm local time Sunday 9th September.
Some venues will keep the doors open all 46 hours! However good ideas need sleep, so many will close late and reopen in the morning.

GovHack is a free event to attend for competitors.

Welcome to GovHack Sydney this year! My name is John and I will be your host. This year we will have 2 rooms for teams to form their ideas on Friday.
Our main hub is located on UTS Building 6, Room CB.06.040 and the other room would be on Room CB07.03.030 (Our lovely volunteers would bring you to there) on Friday night. We will keep hacking at the main hub in Building 6 during the weekend, and you are welcome to hack together in the nearby cafe. Please register on our GovHack HQ Slack channel and always ask me questions during the competitions. I will inform your team leader to see how are you guys going.
