Right 2 The Night

Jurisdiction: Victoria

How can we help people know *the good, the bad, and the ugly* about public spaces?

Between March and May 2018, women of Ballarat help contribute to the Right 2 the Night project. This project was identified as key in helping to provide safer spaces for women in the Ballarat CBD.

305 locations in the CBD were pinpointed in which 70 were identified as safe spaces, and 235 spaces identified unsafe.

Now you get you use this data along with other key data sets available and either answer questions or come up with other creative solutions that:
Identify ways to improve the safety of public spaces
Obtain further information about safe or unsafe spaces in the CBD for women
Identify public space design and development opportunities
Identify why it is that particular spaces feel safe or unsafe for women in the CBD
